Story

FREEDOM ALWAYS LIES is the powerful debut single by Redwood Prophets. Set against the background of a nation divided against itself, the Bowie-esque vocal asks the haunting question: "Cant' we make a home for everyone?" As the blistering chorus chimes "We could build a wall finer than the Great Wall of China make a prison called Amerika!" - the bells of freedom ring. "Freedom Always Lies" is the anthem for a nervous nation on Inauguration Day 2017. It reminds us that as human beings, you can "reach out your hand to your fellow human in a gesture of LOVE." Stream "Freedom Always Lies" here, or buy a download from CDBaby, iTunes or amazon.

Produced and recorded by Bond Bergland at San Pablo Recorders, Berkeley, CA USA, on July 4, 2016.

Mixed by Bond Bergland and Redwood Prophets.

Mastered by Bob Olhsson Audio Mastery, Nashville, TN USA.

Lyrics

FREEDOM ALWAYS LIES (written by Joe Chaplain - published by Eutona Music/BMI)

Day and night alternate

Mother Earth spins around the sun

Human life propagates

Can't we make a home for everyone?

Our story is conflict, our story is love

Tragicomic - intention, volition

My story is messy my story is old but

It ain't television, no y'o, this is my position, well

This ain't television, no y'o, here is my position

Reach out your hand to your fellow human

Reach out your hand in a gesture of love

We could build a wall finer than The Great Wall of China

Make a prison called Amerika, well

Freedom always lies where I find my greatest pain, uh-huh,

Am I willing now to walk where I find my greatest pain? Yeah!
